Hi,

I would like to ask if there's any other limit states for the Channel that needs to be checked due to the following forces (shear, lateral shear and axial load).

The limit states or checks that I can think of are bolt bearing due to shear, bolt bearing due to axial load and yield line analysis of the beam web due to the axial load (anchor tensile load).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Checks on the bolt itself, and whatever its bolted to?

How about the bolt being pulled out of what it is embedded in.

Might want to check prying on the bolt depending on how the channel is delivering tension to the bolt.

Strong axis flexure of channel, weak axis flexure of channel, torsion, serviceability, stability, constructability
