Anchor Bolts lenght

Hi.

Im designing an API-650 storage tank, the calcs say that the tank must be anchored, the problem it that I dont know how to calculate the lenght of the anchor bolts, in order to design the foundation.


any guidelines??, rules or something??. help please.

Appendix D of ACI 318 is the source. It's a bit involved, but spend a little time getting acquainted with it and it works well.

Addendum 4 of API-650 revises some of the anchorage requirements- get it if you don't have. It can be downloaded for free if you have purchased API-650.
