Anchor bolts

Dear All , I need your help to choose the right material for flare riser anchor bolts ,the available materials are (S355J2 , Grade 1045 , C45R-01).The designer suggested ASTM A 307 Gr.C but its not available right now. Note that the flare riser Hight 55m and the the design wind speed 45 M/S .

You need to talk to the designer, and tell him his first choice material is not available.

Rise height and wind speed tell us nothing. If all you care about is structural load, it's also impossible to choose a material without knowing bolt sizes, locations, quantities, etc etc.

Your designer is the only one who can help you.
 
I suggest you read the following;


We used them for the steel stacks using hydraulic pretensioning. You need to leave sufficient gap for the extension of the bolt and the pretensioning devise. Contact them for these for the selection of pretensioning device and perhaps for the anchor bolt material, ask all the questions in your mind for the operation before hand.
