In SW 2007 does anyone know how to Fix or anchor a part in an assembly so that it wont move? My friend has SW 2005 and all he has to do is right click on the part and hit FIX, but for some reason that option in SW 2007 isn't there and i cant seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows the answer, or has any suggestions, please post, thanks.

This feature is still in SW 2007.

Just Right Click on the Part in the graphics display or in the feature manager.

Then select 'Fix'

Note 1: If 'Fix' is not visible in the list, select the double arrow at the bottom of the menu to expand the list and show all options.
You can make this appear in the condensed list by 'Customize Menu'

Note 2: You cannot fix Patterned Components if that is the case (only the base component of the pattern)

Hope this helps

Found the problem. You cant fix a part in an assembly if the part has mates, or atleast a certain amount of mates. Either way i got it to to work, thanks.
