Hello,
How can I manage to change the hole dimension leader from straight to an angeled one. Like the one you see in all the symbols. See attachement.

Go into settings for the dimensions, then go to the dimension tab. Change the text alignment to horizontal. This option should be in the top left.

I am using NX 6. Your version may be a bit diffirent but should be similar.

Ok, but if I change that it will affect all dimensions, not only the radial type dimension. See attachment.

And get the next problem... (see attached)

Do not change it for all the dimensions. Select the dimension you would like to change and right click it and go to style and change it to horizontal.

With the second "problem" you had go back to the style menu and click on the line/arrow tab and chance the leader side from left to right.

All in all, al lot of mouseclicks just to get an horizontal leader. I think one may expect NX to be smarter.

How could it ever know what dimension format you want? It can only output what you tell it to output.

One can not deny that the quality of the NX drafting application is very poor in compare to other CAD programs.

I'm not sure which other CAD programs you have used but I would take the NX drafting over CATIA V5 drafting any day!

CATIA V5 R20

It took me some getting used to. Now that I am though, I would not switch to anything else i've used.

There is a slightly simpler solution to this, It's available when editing the dimension, or whilst placing the specific dimension ( (i.e before the placement -click or upon double click of the object.)
See attached image.

The problem originates , i think , due to that we europeeans have a different standard/ practice on this type of dimension compared to the American practice. - For some reason ( according to ISO) radial / diameter dimensions like these should have the text horizontally oriented whilst at the same time other dimensions where the dimension line is non-horisontal the text should follow the dim line.

Thanks Toost. That makes it indeed a lot quicker to perform.
Maybe you are right with the standard issue. But in my case I find it just nicer to have that text horizontal.
