Angle to bind ACME thread and follower? 1

I have a .164-32 ACME power screw that moves a nylon follower vertically. The follower has an extension that acts as a moment arm and twists the follower perpendicular to the power screw. This twisting is causing the system to bind. My question: is there a certain angle between the axis of the follower and the axis of the screw where the system will bind? Is there a process I can follow to find this angle? Thanks- Blake

I’m not sure the angle will make a difference, but the lever will need to connect to the middle of the nut, not the top or bottom to center the thrust from any direction on the axis of the thread. This should hold the nut square to the axis and reduce binding.
