Hello Everyone,
I am trying to analyze the contour integral results of an angled crack that goes all the way through a 3D steel plate in tension. The crack or 'slit' is modeled as an XFEM crack and the appropriate contour integral results are requested.
Once the analysis completes, contour integral results are only available for one end of the 'slit' (top-right in picture), while the other end seems to be ignored.
It seems to me that the problem lies in having multiple crack fronts for one crack in an XFEM analysis.
Can anyone tell me how to obtain the contour integral results for both ends of the crack?
I've uploaded a picture of the cracked structure for reference.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Dnov
