This *should* be a very simple question. I am just animating over results for my part and everything works fine, and I can save it to an AVI file. The only problem is, I cannot view any sort of scale so the animation is almost useless! I tried googling this and looking through my manuals but I cant seem to figure it out. You must be able to view the contour scale when viewing an animation right?!?

Thanks

Hello,

yes, you should see a scale or legend.

If you can see it in the ansys graphical window then you should also see it in the animation. If not check if the contour labeling is on (/CLABEL or Plot Controls>Style>Contours...)

Regards
Alex

Hmm I played around with those options. I DO see the scale in the window when it is just a single plot/picture. It is only when I animate that the scale dissapears. As soon as the animation is closed, it reappears!

OK so I just noticed it seems to be missing just for the "deformed results" animation. If I take a Q-slice animation, for example, it shows the scale..... bizzarre

Hi,
try to change the "device" used for the viewports: if it is "3D", for example, switch it to "Win32C".
