Animating a Camshaft

Hi everybody

Im trying to animate an engine, to do that, I need to move the valve according with the rotation of the cam. In other thread, somebody said that it is necessary to create a curve and a line, both with a point and after make a slide curve joint. But I dont get it. If anyone can help me I would thank him.

You can look the attatched picture to see what I have.
