Annotation Placement box is missing

I'm running NX4. When I try to insert a datum I no longer see the "Annotation Placement" box, so I can't change the default arrow to a pyramid.

This happened to a coworker a few months ago, and after checking this forum we changed his screen resolution. That fixed it.

Now mine is misbehaving, but changing the resolution didn't solve the problem.

Have you tried to reset the windows (in the layout preferences)? That will usually bring an AWOL toolbar back.

First go to Costomize and make sure that the 'Annotation Placement' tollbar is even active. If it is, then go to...

Preferences -> User Interface -> General

...and select the 'Reset Window Position' button at the very top of the dialog.

I went into "Roles" and switched from "Designer" to "Advanced Designer" and that fixed it.

(I wonder if I'll get a pay raise now that I'm "Advanced"?)
