I wish to do a SCFH flare gas flow measurement off an annubar using P,DP and T transmitters. I initially had 3 options: using RTU Gas Flow Calculation module, using PLC Gas Flow Calc module, using multivariable transmitter. However all of these can do calcs for orifice plate type instruments.....the annubar equation is slightly different (I'm still looking to put my hands on this equation)
Any suggestions?????

dewatt,

An annubar manufacturer should provide you the calculations. If not, do not do business with them, there are others.
I suggest you contact Dieterich (get phone number from Internet, located in Colorado) and request a catalog and sizing software.

Lastly, fyi, for flare gas (natural gas ?) and not to be used without verification, but:

hw=(rhof)[ ACFH / (358.94 K D^2)]^2, where
hw = differential pressure, inches of water @ 68°F,
rhof = fluid density, lbm/ft^3,
ACFH = actual cubic feet per hour,
358.94 = conversion factor,
K = flow coefficient, dimensionless and dependent upon annubar selected (generally < 1.0, like 0.68 or so),
D = pipe internal diameter, inches

I trust this helps.

Let me have your address & phone nos. so that I can provide with the flow calculation program.

Rohit
