Ok guys, here's a strange one.

When I Export a PDF file out of NX, everything appears to go ok. When I look at the PDF file on screen it looks good. Line weights are there, all the notes and dimensions, generally looks perfect.

For some reason though when I print the PDF file out, it drops off a lot of the line geometry. It will show a border and the dimensions but not print maybe 50% of the lines. It still appears to be fine when you look at it on screen. If I print the PDF file as an image (changed in the printer settings) it will print out ok but is not as sharp a print.

I first found this problem runing NX5 and the same thing happens with NX6.

To make things even more annoying, sometimes the PDf file will print fine form a different computer.

Anyone ever had this problem or even better, know a fix?

Thanks

Could it be printing certain light weights and not others?

Are you using adobe for printing? if so maybe try this.
Go to print, properties, quality, objectives and select High Definition Text and try to print with that setting.

We have had issues with poor printing quality resulting in what we call hieroglyhphics ( ugly graphics). maybe give that a try and let me know what happens. also print as an image does help us some.

Good luck
