According to the IEEE std C37.2-2008 this is an annunciator relay. I have a single line that shows them interfacing with 86 lockouts. Does todays Multifunction solid state relays incorporate this function? The single I am using is a year 2000 era and solid state relays were in place at the time. In fact there are references of GE Multilin. Maybe the drawing was passed down from other prior versions and this code came with it? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A modern digital relay can be programmed to performed many things. One such function would be to replicate an 86 Relay (Trip/Block Close (multiple ckts) & target for that).

Not sure about the exact relay you are describing, however the Multilin 745/750/489 Have multiple programmable LED's plus some kind of "Scratchpad" function that can display a custom message (such as Gen 1 LOR Tripped, press reset to continue), etc.

The "30 relay" is most likely something similar to an ABB JM or GE HAA annunciator relay. It is just a simple DC current relay that will drop an indication flag if dc trip current passes through it. This will let you know that an external trip / most likely something ouside of the relay control house tripped the breaker. In the case of your oneline, the top 30 "relay" would tell you that the breaker was tripped by the transformer's sudden pressure or temperature relay which would be found at the transformer.

By the way, I don't see the 30 relays interfacing with the 86 lockouts at all. You need to follow the arrows.

30 relay is just an annuciator, flag, or an indicator. The programmable LED's on a multifunction relay can do the same function. Wire an external trip to the relay input and latch the LED or display the trip message as already suggested.
