I am reviewing composite pole calculations. The pole is required to be designed per Florida Building Code (FBC). However, the pole supplier is submitting calculations based on ANSI C136.20-1999 and AASHTO LTS-2-1994.
The calculations appear to be fine except they used 90 MPH with 1.3 gust factor. This brings the wind gust to 117 MPH. The locale where the pole is to be installed requires 132 MPH (3 second gust) per FBC.
Does anyone know right of hand that FBC incorporates the ANSI and or AASHTO codes by reference?
