ANSI C37.41 loadbreak 1

Can someone give me quidance on the specifications of ANSI C37.41 clause 7 as regards loadbreaking requirements.
Being in the UK we work to IEC specs.

7. Load-break tests
7.1 Procedures common to all load-break tests
Devices, unless they incorporate a load-breaking means, have no load-break rating. Load-break test procedures for devices with load-breaking equipment shall be as specified in Clause 4 and in Clause 7

Disconnect switch are primarily used for closing, opening, or changing the connections in a circuit or system or for purposes of isolation.

HV Disconnect switches It has no have interrupting rating and is intended to be operated only after the circuit has been opened by some other means, such as by a circuit breaker. However, HV disconnect switches if equipped with interrupting device attachment may be capable to be used with limited interrupting capability for making or breaking specified current. (See sample in picture below)

MV switches under certain ampacity limit may have limited interrupting rating without any attachment.

[sub]PS:Beware that the ANSI and IEC switches are not compatible in term of conformance with typical spec.[/sub]
