Where can I find standard dimensions for ANSI type pumps? Is this covered in ANSI B73.1M?

Short Answer..... YES

Long Answer...... YES and if you get the manufacturer's catalog from any of the major vendors, the significant outline dimensions (conforming to ANSI) will be contained in the vendor cut-sheets.

For example, the Goulds ANSI Pump is the workhorse 3196. The 3196 STX series conforms to ANSI sizes AA and AB. The Ingersol Dresser ANSI pump is the HOC2. The HOC2 has a "Group 1" designation that conforms to ANSI sizes AA and AB etc. etc.

Please note that ANSI B73.1 contains other internal dimensional requirements. ( shaft stiffness & deflection, for example)

Hope that this helps..........MJC

bizzaroh,
Try a resource that I've used a number of times. Go to ThomasRegister.com and request a copy of PartSpec and PlantSpec. Both have well scaled drawings from the companies that make 'em!
You want drawings of pumps? Most drawings are 2D but there are some 3D also, and you can copy them along with their attributes into your drawing. Cool stuff!
