We came across this part and the QC inspector rejected the part for not comformance on the thread depth .40 XX = ±.020 the actual he gets is .359 from 11.5 revolutions. we are inspecting this part using the thread gage and count the revolutions until the gage bottoms out. we are not counting the countersink because the drawing is not showing the depth symbol that we will measure from the top surface to the last thread depth.
where or what is the spec that would tell us from where this thread depth needs to be measure? I hope you guys can help, thank you.
