Hello,
I am having issues with the solutions that I am getting using ANSYS 13 adpl. My overall goal is to model temperature distribution in 2D with both thermal properties and electrical properties. I am using element type plane67 to do this. The material properties that I have been defining are below:
MATERIAL NUMBER 1

TEMP DENS
19250.00

TEMP KXX
1850.000

TEMP RSVX
560.0000

TEMP C
133.0000

After meshing, I have been applying the necessary loads. I have set the temperature boundary conditions for 3000 on the left and right, and 300K on the top and bottom. Then, I am applying a current of 20 Amps to one of the right nodes on the sides. Logically, you would expect the temperature of the area to increase. However, it does just the opposite. And I am having a difficult time determining why the temperature is decreasing.

Below is an image of the contour plot for temperature distribution with no current. Below that one is with current. As you can see, there is a dramatic decrease in temperature..

Any insights would be appreciated. Should I be defining an additional material property? Also, any links to tutorials that may help would also be appreciated.
