Hi,
I've been doing random vibrations analysis for PCBs mounted in a chassis. Generally, I consider the chassis seperate from the board and compare their natural frequencies to see if their will be dynamic coupling. If there is dynamic coupling I find the appropriate Grms to apply. I've recently learned in workbench to apply a PSD spectrum to a part to get a response across all the applicable modes which eliminates the step of finding an equivalent Grms.
My question is: Is there a way to have ANSYS independently consider dynamic coupling? In other words can I have ANSYS consider individually a board and chassis, compare their natural frequencies, and find the appropriate deflections. It sounds like if it is possible it would be a good bit of APDL programming. Any suggestions or insights?
