Hi all, I have a to verify a nozzle on a cilindrical shell (internal pressure only) using ANSYS 14 and apply ASME VIII Div.2 (5.2.2.2) rules:
Pm - general primary membrane stress
Pl - local primary membrane equivalent stress
Pb - primary bending equivalent stress
(Pl + Pb) - primary membrane + primary bending stress
Q - secondary equivalent stress
questions:
1) postprocessing fea results of linearized von mises stress (as per code part 5.A, SCL) I read ansys values for: membrane, bending, m+b, peak and sum of them without any suggestion of primary and secondary stresses, the code says I should find Pm, Pl and Pl+Pb and compare with admissibles, how to manage it?
2) How to add other stresses value type results in ansys linearized table output?
