Hi,

I designed semi-circled curved beam in cylindrical coordinate system (CSYS,5) using SHELL181 element,
But now each section have different coordinate system, and how should I align it with active coordinate system as X - is radial, and Y - circumferential direction. Tried to change shell normals with ANORM and ENORM commands, and Ansys is giving me errors "no area/element" normals were reversed.
Help is much appreciated and thanks in advance,
Tried also it ch

suggest posting in the ANSYS forum ...

I don't know ANSYS specifically, but your normals look well behaved. what do you think is the problem ?
