I am examining the status of the connection poles and anchor bolts in the lifelines. I read a 2-fold difference between the shear force on the bolts in the 3D and 2D solving process. What is the main reason for this? Should I choose 2D or 3D? The contact on the connection plates should be frictional.
Also how can I deal with singularity? I am doing mesh improvement but I cannot prevent singularity
