Hello

i want to calculate a CFRP tube under torsion with ANSYS 12 Mechanical. The main aim is to calculate the tube and not the parts of the tube where the force is induced.
In the tube are two steel inserts bonded to carry the load from the test bench to the tube.
I use the Shell 99 element. My laminat consists of 10 layers which are symetrically stacked in +45°/-45° orientation.
On the one side i define the displacement in the bonding zone to 0.
To induce the torsional moment i define a contact pair between the other bonding zone and a node. The moment is induced in the node. Now my question to the concact pair: is this a Surface-to-Surface contact or a Node-to-surface-Contact? I think it's Node to Surface but i'm not sure. There's also no difference if i flip the contact normals? Do they have to point to the master node or in the other direction?

Another question to the real constant: is it better to define my laminate lay-up by the real constant set or by Preprocesser/Section/Shell/Lay-Up?

Thanks for your help!!!
