Hello everyone,
I am using Ansys 11 SP1 and I have built a 2d model with two pads with positive and negative voltage correspondingly.
Altough the pads are actually tree dimensional, since the problem is only two dimensional (the pads only move on one dimension) I chose to built it like that in Ansys.
My problem is that, though I have managed to build the model and apply the voltage, I get wrong results because Ansys solves it as if the pads are only lines. How can I make it understand that there is also depth without adding the third dimension.
I already have built a 3d model but in some of my simulations the problem is very heavy and I cannot get convergence. That's why I made it 2D and am now having these problems.
Thank you in advance!
