Hi all,

Looking for some advice on an ANSYS Workbench 14.5 static structural model I have. I have applied two APDL commands, OMEGA (rotational velocity) and DOMEGA (rotational acceleration) to my model and I am having a difficult time interpreting the results. I have it broken up into two steps, 0-1 being the velocity, then the acceleration. If my model runs for 1.2 seconds...what exactly is this telling me? Did the model reach the full angular acceleration speed? Is there a way to pull what speed it reached before it stopped converging? I understand this should be done as a transient analysis, but I was curious to see what a static model is telling me about something involving an inertial load (angular acceleration). How does ANSYS interpret a ramp in a static model? Any help would be appreciated!
