Hi everyone,

I am a novice where it comes to ansys workbench and am still learning the basics so this might seem like two daft questions but I could really be doing with some assistance.
Firstly. What is the maximum shear stress showing when you plot it in workbench? I mean I understand what shear stress in the x-y, x-z and Y-Z planes is but how does that relate to the maximum shear stress plot displayed workbench and what is the difference between that and the standard shear stress plot?
Secondly. I have a small singularity in a model due to the method of constraint used. I was wondering if there was any way of reducing the maximum value displayed on the stress plot below the stress at this discontinuity to allow the other stresses in the model to be more easily seen. I know on APDL you can do this so that stresses above a certain point appear grey but how do I do this on workbench?

Thanks a lot for any help in advance :)
