Hello good people,
I have a question about ANSYS Mechanical.
Let's assume I have unlimited HPC packs available to me, and 80 cores on my PC.
I was told after a certain number of cores on ANSYS Mechanical the solver does not improve performance (or return solver time) in fact it has diminishing returns.
What is this value?
As an example, a 1,000,000-element analysis will take 40 min to solve using 50 cores and will be similar on 40 cores. Therefore, 40 cores are fine. Freeing up 10 cores for other operations.
I have been asked to move my analysis to a "supercomputer" where I currently solve my model on 50 cores.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance for your help.
