Ansys Mesh Export to other formats

I'm new to Ansys, and wanted to use its meshing capabilities to generate proper mesh, then export in stl, iges or other formats so other software can read the mesh info. I typically use a FE software called SAP2000, but meshing is horrible on this. The elements I'd like to generate mesh are either shells or solids.
Is there a such way to do this? Only option that I see in Ansys FE modeler/Mesh seems to be only compatible with Ansys suites.

Ansys SpaceClaim can export both STL and IGES files. For mesh translation, try FE Modeler. It's not perfect but worth a shot.

I remember Workbench can export the STL mesh from an evaluated result node, try to turn on the beta feature if this option is not visible on an RMB clicking.

For solid elements will an STL not just give you a hollow surface mesh? Als I don't think you can export a mesh as an .iges file. Iges is for geometry.

If you can get the nodal coordinates and element connectivity out of Ansys I'm sure you can write a file that can be read in other packages.
