Hi All,

I am trying to import a model that is available in ansys to abaqus. I am new to abaqus. Since I have hands on experience with ansys APDL, I started writing a batch file in ansys, that writes the node and element data into a notepad file with .inp extension for each of the sections defined in ansys. I am importing this *.inp file to abaqus.
But however i get elements( all elements extended to the local coordinate sys).

Can anyone suggest me a method to import the ansys file section by section from ansys to different parts in abaqus.

Looking forward for your support!!!
Best Regards

Hi,

I never use it but you can check this:
Abaqus Analysis User's Manual, 3.2.26 Translating ANSYS input files to Abaqus input files
