Ansys or abaqus for soil modeling

Hi all ,

I have a question that I wish some one here can help me with

I wanted to learn a new advanced finite element problem to help me to deal with some researches concerning soil mechanics ,

I have seen too many soil mechanic researches that uses abaqus than those which uses ansys

I wonder if abaqus do has an advantage on ansys concerning soil modelling?

I have another request for both program users if you can please would you provide me with any advice or resources to help me start with learning any of these programs?
