I am curious if anyone knows what settings I can change into increase the performance of ansys. I do not mean the solution performance, but the performance when updating, changing/added contacts, etc.
At the moment I have an assembly with 600+ bolts, 1200+ joints, bonded/frictional contacts, 1.2 million nodes. If I change the geometry and click update, it can take up to 30 minutes to update. I've heard that turning off hyper-threading could improve the performance of ansys workbench, but I was wondering if there were other settings that I could tweak to optimize it further.
Computer:
Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i9-8950HK CPU @2.90GHz
RAM: 32GB
Graphics card: NVidia Quadro P4200
