Hi,
I'm using SHELL181 to simulate a thin plate. Also, I need to use secoffset command for a part of the plate with reduced thickness. When I applied the load and boundary conditions along the edges of that part, I found that the loading locations (nodes) are still the midplane. I checked the real shape of the shell, it seemed that the loading was applied "in the air" instead of being on the cross-section of that part. I'm wondering how this would affect the results and if it's possible to shift the loads to the mid-line of the cross-section of that particular part.
Many thanks!
