Hi everybody. I hope you all do great. I have a question and it's really important for my project.
I have tried to simulate smart crack growth in the Ansys workbench. for doing this, I made a pre meshed crack and did all required steps then applied smart crack growth using the static option but it seems that the crack growth does not happen at all. I used displacement as the load and fixed boundary condition. I did this analysis in both 19.2 and 20 versions of Ansys but no one works out properly. Not any error happened, just warnings that the most noticeable one is left below:
%---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*** SELECTION OF ELEMENT TECHNOLOGIES FOR APPLICABLE ELEMENTS ***
--- GIVE SUGGESTIONS AND RESET THE KEY OPTIONS ---
ELEMENT TYPE 1 IS SOLID187. IT IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH FULLY INCOMPRESSIBLE
HYPERELASTIC MATERIALS. NO SUGGESTION IS AVAILABLE AND NO RESETTING IS NEEDED.
%---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I attached the picture as well.
I would appreciate any comments and ideas. Thanks everybody!
