Ansys Solver Crashes After Saving Project

Hi Guys,

I cannot seem to find the solution to my issue when performing basic searches... When using ANSYS Workbench Version 14.0 for a Static Structural problem, the solver crashes if the project has been saved to my computer. I have absolutely no issues with the solver if the project has not been saved - it will converge for both simple and complex models. As soon as the project is saved, the solver will not function.... any ideas?

Typically, I will just setup the model, solve, and if I'm OK with the results, I save and move on. However, there are often times where I am asked to go back and change contact zones or create other modifications to the model, but I am not able to do this if I have saved the project. This means I have to start over again. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I suggest, if you are saving project in a network drive, then map that network drive in the local computer for Editing/Saving file. After this always use mapped drive to open and edit files. Also try to limit the number of geometric models in a particular wbpj file.
