Hi!
I want to model I section with 0 thickness so as to get surface beam with assigned thickness and shell mesh.

But I am facing a problem. I cannot make I section because I get errors like: Operation would result in illegal T surface bodies.
Firstly, I have created the web by extruding a line and setting 0 thickness. Then I froze it. Next, I made another sketch with flange and wanted to extrude it. But, when I defroze the web, I got an error mentioned above.

I have also tryed with Thin/surface (after modeling the web and flange with thickness of 1 mm), but the same error appears.

Does anybody have some advice? Is there some other way to solve this?

Make sketch of I section in 2 sketches as flange and web and extrude line as 0 mm surface for required length. You can then set thickness of web and flange in mechanical.
