Hi everyone!

I am running nonlinear analysis of channel section beam in Ansys Workbench, fixed at the one end and simply supported on the other. The problem is that the curve has a long flat part (please see picture) - Ansys couldn't aciheve convergence between two substeps. I have tried to increase number of substeps but that would only lead to more errors like Problem could not converge, elapsed time eceeded the CPU time and so on.
Is there anything that could be done in order to overcome this problem and to get smooth curve?

Thank you in advance,

Sandra

Doesn't the analysis in the picture have a green mark next to "Solution" which means it has been solved succesfully?

Edit: can you describe the analysis settings (load steps etc), bcs, loads and the graph more in detail.
