Hi,
One of our client asked me to change few metal skin sheets on a drag belt conveyer system in a flour mill. He siad that the body of the conveyer system is made of anti-spark metal sheets to prevent dust explosion. He has no specifications or data from manufacturer. I have looked through internet to find anti-spark or anti-static metal sheets but couldn't find anything.

Is there any sheet metal that has anti-spark or anti-static properties? ASTM or DIN or British Standards? and who are the manufacturers?

Sincerely,
Fayaz

Any Cu alloy, brass, bronze and the like fall into this category.
The trick is finding an alloy that is compatible with the service and commercially available.

You can achieve anti static just by making sure that everything is connected. The metals will conduct. This is a problem when people use plastics for wear parts.
