Antifouling

Our ships are working in the tropical region, and one the most prevalence problem we face is fouling. Anyone can suggest any good anti fouling paint or methods to reduce this?

Copper based antifouling is most often used.
TRIBUTYLTIN is also used in some areas of the world. However it is rapidly being banned and phased out in most of the western nations.
The choice of a particular antifouling paint is usually left to the local ship yards in the area the vessel plies.

When the ship repairer is putting together suggestions, make sure they ask you what the ship will be doing as well as where it will be. Some of the "slippy surface" antifoulings depend enormously on flow for their action and show disappointing performance on ships that spend unusual amounts of time alongside.
