Do the valves (ball/ Gate) have to confirm to additional specifications when employed in a HIPPS system?
i.e. is there any other specification other than API 6A/ ISO 10423 /ISO 10497 NACE ETC to be adhered to when using a valve in a hipps system.

i am asking because, one of the Major O&G Producers(our client) has listed 'API 6A 10000 PSI ball valves' and 'API 6A 10000 PSI ball valves to be used in HIPPS' under different material numbers.

15601 VALVE;BALL;HIPPS 1-13/16 IN & UP,API 6A
15606 VALVE;BALL;SS,1-13/16IN&UP,10K PSI,API6A

One of the features of a HIPPS is that generally Pressure Relief Devices, for protection against overpressure, have been 'engineered away'.

This is recognised in ASME VIII Division 1 (2019) Under UG-140 - 'Overpressure pressure Protection by System Design'.

So if the system is being designed to ASME VIII Rules, compliance with the requirements elaborated in UG-140 must be followed.

It might be an idea for you to download and study the Recommended Practice / Report 443 (especially paragraph 7.3) from the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers - available free here
Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.
