Hi there...

Does anybody know and have any experience on the Hydraulic Lift system for enhance recovery of the well? I know one of the method for enhance recovery is using Gas Lift, ESP, Gas Injection and water injection.

Any source of info abt Hydraulic Lift system is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Rusman,

Are you referring to a hydraulic artificial lift system which uses hydraulic power (either water or oil under pressure) to operate a downhole reciprocating or jet pump? Or have you heard of something else? What situation are you wanting to use it in?

There are two options called hydraulic lift
1. Hydraulic pump jack. which uses hydraulic power to operate a surface pumping unit, which is turn connected to a downhole positive displacement pump by sucker rods.
2. As mentioned by cliff. Downhole reciprocating or jet pump operated by pressurised fluid.

For the second option a few manufacturers;
National
Guiberson
Kobe
Oilwell Hydraulics

It's possible that Russman is referring to HSPs- hydraulic submersible pumps, which are like ESPs driven by power fluid pumped from the surface rather than electricity. Have a look at the Weir Pumps website.
