Any good Aluminum alloy for a combination of Machining & Extrusion?

Hi..Looking for material recommendations on a cylidrical component that can be extruded internally and then machined on the outer surface?

Most aluminum alloys can be extruded. The 6000 and 7000 series alloys machine very well after heat treatment.

I would lean toward the 6000's.
Talk to your extrusion supplier first, that will be the tougher operation.
