feel free to ask, the 2D part is just SE full minus the 3D
environments. One major difference is:
- you can open any draft created with V19 or higher
but you can't do anything with it, it's just a 'viewer'
not even Save is possible

your telling me that you cant add a dim on a exsiting dft file that was created in SE???

If so, what a piece of crap...:(

You're correct -- they like to make money and sell you at
least Design & Drafting ....

Oops! I was wrong: you may save it. But drawing views derived from 3D models
cannot be modified in any way. They cannot be selected in 2D Drafting. Also
you cannot dimension to drawing views created from 3D Models.
Here are some other limitations:

- The license is good for 1 year. (can redownload after the year expires)
- There are no service packs.
- There is no GTAC support for this version.
- There is no applications interface (API) (Which will prevent any macros
to function with this version

that's a bummer...

i was hoping i came up with a way so our toolroom guys stop buging us when the need info off the drawing.....

Guess i'll just have to remove it off that computer

you're not alone many had that expectation ...
The free 2D is targeted at potential ACAD (LT) buyers.

I remember when i went to the conference in California, they made it out like this is the best thing since slice bread...

O well, chock another one up to misinformation from them...

I got confirmation from Ricky black about it.

Does any know of a program that can open native dft file, to where we can measure and dim, and is free?
