Would be interested to know if I am the lone ranger.
I am still stuck using 13c4. The boss never exercised his option to upgrade for $340 so he can now only upgade for about $3400 -fat chance!

If there are others out in the cold with me I would like to know how many. Would be interested in exchanging ideas on how to get this dinosar to perform.

All the best,

wtab,

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate dilemma. AutoCAD has dropped its support for AutoCAD R14 (which was way better than R13). We are using AutoCAD 2000 which was also a excellent improvement from R14. Do you use Paperspace/Modelspace? If you do, upgrading is well worth the investment of AutoCAD 2002. We have not upgraded to AutoCAD 2002 because that change is not worth the effort. (AutoCAD 2002 still uses the same AutoCAD 2000 dwg file format. It is just a interface upgrade with new bells & whistles that are not anything special.) I would suggest that if you can find a license of AutoCAD 2000 from a company that is foreclosing, that is only way that Autodesk will recognize an exchange in license agreement.

Hi

In my opinion, the only way is to use your own lisp programs according with your needs. If you can tell me in what you are interesting in, I can send you some useful lisp programs (or you can find on Internet - most of them are free and a lot of are included in newest versions of AutoCAD)

Sorry for my english, its not my native language. Regards
Fernando

Hi

Just what Ferdo said, maximize the use of lisp
programs in your system. I know somebody who has
a fully customized R13C4 system that produces D-
size drawings in minutes. It takes longer to input
the drawing info than for the program to make the
drawing. This situation applies to detail drawings
of mechanical equipment/parts using parametric
programming. If you decide to use lisp programs,
try to select those programs that makes a drawing,
not modify or maintain them.

If you need help on these programs, please let me
know.
