Anyone for a beer.

I saw those years ago in Australia. Most of the cups sent down there from europe didn't down under so they had to invent the bottom filler.

That is cool technology. $0.36USD per plastic cup seems a touch high, but maybe the ad revenues will knock that down.

So let's replace the tin ring and magnet with a more economical, belt-fed plastic plug. I like the idea of the magnetic sealing disk being used for advertising, you could have a whole collection of buttons by the end of the night.

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of these Forums?

These things are cool... but if you wanted to quickly fill a regular cup, perhaps you could make a dispenser with a long neck that makes a u-turn at the bottom? Lift the cup until the long neck touches bottom, pull the lever to fill, then pull the cup down & away? The only trick that's not accomplished by that method would seem to be the auto-shutoff when the cup is full..oh, and hands-free filling.

Hmm. isn't this what the hand pulled beer pump does anyway?

usually they fill from the top of the cup...

Yeah, the head on the beers in the video was more consistent than I've ever seen a top-fill accomplish. A gooseneck insert arrangement could work, but I think that when you start filling you might shoot beer to the ceiling.

It also seems like any kind of in-place fill valve would either have a significant number that leak or a very high cost. The magnetic plug is just a brilliant idea.

If you really want to save time get rid of the cup, and just set your Ausie on there.

@IRstuff: LMAO
