Anyone understand how this company's antennas work?

This company is selling antennas that apparently give 99.9% visibility. No dead spots. If you read the info from the pdf link, it mentions that it covers all three polarizations. Does anyone understand what's going on and what makes them different from regular antennas? I do know that they work in pairs and that they have to be facing each other in opposite directions. Kind of like a magnet. Opposite sides have to be facing.

The details are far less impressive than the headlines.

Presentation slide 7: notice that the RFID Reader has magically sprouted a second antenna port. Such magic may cost you a new RFID reader if the one you already own has only one port. And if your RFID reader already has a second port, then I wonder why? ;-)

Presentation slide 8: several nulls are -25dB.

Using two antennas to provide spatial and ploariztion diversity is not a new technology. My $30 wifi routers all have two antennas, and common sense dictates that one is tilted 45° to the left and the other is tilted 45° to the right to provide orthagonal polarization diversity.

The latest multi-antenna tech is called MIMO with at least three antennas and some extremely clever combining.

I know how they did it, Marketing and Sales got together, had some drinks and made up a bunch of lies, put them on paper, then went back to drinking.

Most patch antennas have a very wide coverage zone, not that narrow beam they hand drew for their presentation.

The old adage, "don't believe everything you read".

Your note about all three polarizations is odd, there is an infinite number of polarizations, but Vert, Horiz, Slant right, Slant left, Right Hand Circular, Left Hand Circular are the most common.
