If you use CUSTOM PROPERTIES within SolidWorks (for either Part, Assembly, or Drawing files) all you need to do is open a Windows Explorer goto the directory where the file is located and then simply RIGHT mouse click on it. Select PROPERTIES and then click on the CUSTOM tab and you can edit anything you create for a Custom Property for that file without having to go through SolidWorks Explorer or firing up SolidWorks.

Hope that helps ...

Thanks for quick replied, That's mean I have to go to individual file and change it (200-300 dwg/project). The reason I ask because some time I got new project is very much same as an old one, what I need to do is change customer's name and new project #,
thanks advange

There is a SW utility program called "Propagator" that may help. Maybe someone out there can point the way to it.

Go to the SW applications library and search API for "custom". You will find several utilites related to changing properties and doing mass updates.
