API 6A MONOGRAM REQUIREMENT

Hi,

I work for a project in which there are API 10000 gate, globe, check and choke valves are included.

But as per project specification there is no requirement for API Monogram. The only requirement is design shall be as per API 6A.

But valve vendor facility is not qualified for API Q1.

My concern is "Is it mandatory requirement as per API 6A latest edition, that if a valve is designed as per API 6A, monogram shall be punched on the valve" or monogram is only required only if the purchaser/buyer is specifically asked for it?"
