the section states
5.3.3 Secondary Stress
The primary plus secondary stress variation, delta Q, for any sequence of test or operating conditions, shall not
exceed 3Sm·
Is this more than the Pl+Pb for the secondary stress? This seems to say that is Pm + Secondary stress, so... PM + Pl + Pb. No where in the code to they properly define this.
This is for a valve design where max operating pressure would be 5000 psi. Would this just be the Pl+Pb in the area of secondary stress for a case of 5000 psi?
Any insight as to what this is would be much appreciated thank you.
