When starting Ideas, a few of the users will get this error after selecting their project and model, or even if they start a new model. The exact error is "APLUS Internal programming error 15101 in routine MSGONL" they will also have a box pop up with a Ul in it but there are two dots above the U.

When I log into the computer with an administrator acount this error doesnt occur, but when any user tries it does this. Also it creates a locked file of the model you are trying to open. In this case we remove the locked file and then it produces the error above.

I checked permisions on all the files that it might need, but I couldn't find any problems.

I tried reinstalling, but this didn't help either. I think it may have somthing to do with the Team directory, but I have no idea.

Thanks in advanced. The systems are 32 bit xp and we are running IDEAS version 12. The licenses are served off of a license server.

Does it happen when you try to go directly into modeler or assembly? Try going into masterdrafting instead of modeler or assembly. When does the message pop up. Is there any message in the "DOS" screen that pops up when you open I-Deas that could give you any clues?

The dos screen pops up goes through everything normally it says your are using ideas opengl. It brings up the screen where you choose your projects and models. Either way if you leave it blank or choose a model, it will error when you click OK.

I just got off the phone with GTAC and he suggested I delet the user_param files in the team master file. I am now waiting for the user to come back from lunch, so I can see if that works.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks

I was leaning torwards a graphic redisplay issue. But if it directly after hitting ok it sounds like what you said a param file or something that is really goofed up. You do a have a User directory on the machine.? Good luck

The sollution is to change the permissions on the registery key HKLM/software/SDRC/UUID/1.0. giving users full control.

You do this by going to start

run
type "regedit"

Then navigate to the registery HKLM/software/SDRC/UUID/1.0

right click and select permissions.

Set users to habe full control.

then click apply

Thanks for the help though.
