Hello,
I have done a lot of drawings for screen printing of logos/instructions on sheetmetal for indoor applications.
The company I am working for now does outdoor applications and I 've been tasked to come up with the drawing for the application of a vector artwork onto a piece of painted sheetmetal. The piece is a cover to a metal enclosure that will be always outdoors and be exposed to harsh environment(rain, wind, sun, salt, etc).
I had some plates made with the logo vinyl cut with a protective coating. The logo looks great, but the coating looks kind of bad around the logo. I;m also concerned the letters can get scratched easier than paint. I went with vinyl since it is rated longer than the paint the vendor had.
Bottom line: can anyone recommend a process and material for application of company logo onto metal in outdoors?
Thanks,
Phil
